The transition? Mark died in 2010 and I sought artistic community. With a spark of an artist’s I bought 20 acres in Mendocino County. Initially, the house was the art project, intending that it would be a place for other artists to meet, create while we lived there. The home itself, though our combined energy was pretty wonderful. But after the nine months of rehab, we saw that continuing that vision wasn’t possible. It was a 4 year period of hoping to find connection to the place but its 7 mile gravel road entry was stifling. Still, between the garden, the space, it was a place to create.
