Places to go, what to eat. I check online listings, but here (and in London) they aren’t kept current - a frustration to be sure. Research, travel - arrive to an empty storefront or a different business. Add to that my own fumbles: combine my dyslexia with the opposite driving direction here and I’ve found myself on a bus traveling in the wrong direction more than once. Sometimes it’s jump off and cross the street for the next bus, etc, sometimes I’ve arrived at an unexpected place to explore. I recall that when I worked with paper maps I was much better at orienting myself to a new place. Now, I’m often surprised that what I expected to be in ➘ direction is in ➚ direction.
